We already had a reason to kill her. She’s an Elf. Saying she’s a Witch is just redundant. But the Thistle idea is interesting. But what if Thistle likes being who he is?
Perhaps she planned to destroy the vampire… or perhaps she just wanted to enslave it and add it to her undead army. She’s an evil spellcaster with robed minions that obey her commands unflinchingly… and she has an interest in catching a vampire.

Oh well now, we have reason to kill her.

Hmm. I wonder if she could be convinced to unsquirrel Thistle. That sounds like a reasonably crazy idea!

Don’t worry Gregory, just as not all vampires glitter in the sun, not all elves are emo and need to be put down.

Perhaps the Witch of the Mines is a necromancer?

I’ve found it’s best not to suppose with the creator. His stories and methods grow from madness.
