1. How do you create the comic?
I use a combination of the following: Autodesk Maya for almost everything, E-on Software Vue for most backgrounds and landscapes, DazStudio for importing some characters, and Adobe Photoshop for compositing and adding text.
Here is a post I wrote up about the recent-ish change in my rendering and lighting method.
2. Are you going to animate the story?
Yes. Or rather, parts are going to be animated. I planned from the beginning for the telling of the story to be a mixture of still images and animation. And the battle scenes are going to be sweet.
3. I love this story, I want to give you money?
Awesome! There is going to be a store around the site soon. Also, there is a ‘donate’ button to the left with the caption “Ye Olde Tip Jar.”
4. How do I contact the author?
There is a link on the main menu called Contact. If you want to comment on a comic page or news post, you can do that on the most recent pages. I set the comments to close after a while, so the archive doesn’t get filled with spam.
5. Can I post the comic in my blog?
You can link to the url for the comic pages, such as:
“http://talesofthistledown.com/?p=19″ or
“http://talesofthistledown.com/first.php” for the first page.
You can also link to us using the banners on the “links” page.
However, posting the comic image or any of this site’s content on your blog/website/anywhere without direct permission of Ken Fritsch is a copyright violation. When in doubt, ask.
